Hollywood, It's Time To Confront The Disparity!

Teena Marie, the 'Ivory Queen of Soul,' remains unjustly overlooked. Despite her groundbreaking role in shattering racial barriers at Motown and her authentic R&B sound that resonated deeply with black audiences, Hollywood's bias left her contributions in the shadows.
Unlike Diddy, Teena faced skepticism due to her race, yet she became a beloved icon who paved the way for artists' rights with the 'Brockert Initiative.' It's time to demand justice and give Teena Marie the star she rightfully deserves!" P. Diddy received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame due to his multifaceted career as a music producer, artist, actor, and entrepreneur, which includes significant contributions to urban entertainment and fashion.  In contrast, Teena Marie, despite her groundbreaking work in R&B and soul music and breaking racial barriers at Motown, has not been similarly recognized. This disparity highlights Hollywood's tendency to overlook certain artists based on race and genre biases.  The Walk of Fame process itself is criticized for being more about influence and financial backing than purely artistic merit.
